FTN Blog 2.3.17

After a high scoring 1st leg matches – The Champions League Round of 16 2nd leg matches will try to create drama & unbelievable comebacks to be remembered for a long time. Football Ticket Net's Blog offer you analysis, predictions & last tickets available for next week UCL knockout matches.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich

If Arsene's Wenger side wants to continue in this year's competition, they will need a miracle, non-the-less, after losing 1-5 in the 1st leg at the Allianz Arena in Munich.

Robben, Lewandowski, Muller & 2 goals from Thiago Alcantara scored for the Germans as Alexis Sanchez gave the Gunners their only goal.

This time the story should be different (At least that's what Arsenal fans are hoping for) with the return to training of Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey who missed the 1st leg. Bayern will miss Captain Philip Lahm that got a yellow card in the first match, while defender David Alaba is in doubt because of an injury.

Our forecast: Is there a chance Arsenal will pull out a 4:0 in Emirates Stadium and shock the football world? Probably not – but we will still think they would look much better than the first leg – Win for Arsenal

FC Barcelona vs Paris Saint Germain

Maybe the biggest surprise of the Champions League round of 16 first leg was the HUGE win by PSG over the Spanish champions. The match at Parc des princes was one-sided from the start as Unai Emery's team deservedly won 4-0 with two goals from Angel Di Maria, one from Julian Draxler and one from Edinson Cavani.

Although you can never bet against Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez and the rest of the FC Barcelona stars, overcoming a four-goal deficit, even for Barca is a tough mission to accomplish.

No team in history has succeeded before to overcome 4 goals hurdle, but the Blaugrana stars are sure in their strength to make history.

Our forecast: Barca will win, but it takes only a away goal from PSG in order to make this 2nd leg a non-relevant match.

SSC Napoli vs Real Madrid

It wasn't easy, The Italian side went first on the scoring board, but the current title holders from Madrid came back with 3 goals to win Napoli 3:1 at the Bernabeu in the first leg of the Real-Napoli matchup.

Benzema, Kroos & Casemiro scored for the Blancos and overcome Insigne early goal with a promising lead towards the 2ns leg which will be played at Stadio San Paolo, full with die-hard Napoli fans knowing their team can still sure qualify to the quarter-finals with a 2-0 win.

To overturn this tie and deny Real Madrid from their 7th in a row Champions League quarter-finals appearance, Napoli should have a great match plan. If the Italian side will win in aggregate it will lead them to make history themselves - reaching the last 8 for the first time in club's existence.

Our forecast:  This is a tough one to call, but at the end of the match - Real will advance.
