The Italian job...

Going into the 2 last weeks before the European leagues will start to kick off – The top European football clubs are closing on their squads for the 2016/17 season. The major story in Italy last week was the Juventus signing of the Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín from rivals Napoli for a record fee of €90! Napoli.

The Argentine striker, 28, departure from the club in South Italy didn’t went on quietly as Aurelio De Laurentiis, Napoli owner called Higuaín's exit a betrayal. The new bianconeri striker said in response: The relationship with him has never been good because we have a different way of thinking. The only thing that I care about  is that now I need to show Juventus I worth the money they paid for me".

French duet at Madrid

After being linked with a move to FC Barcelona, French striker Kevin Gameiro, signed eventually with Atletico Madrid. The 29 years old forward played last three years with Sevilla FC, helping them to win 3 Europa League titles in a row after joining them from PSG. Last season Gameiro scored 29 goals in all competitions and now he will be joining forces his fellow countryman Star - Antoine Griezmann making a French power couple in Atleti offence.
